Women’s Retreat Day 2018

This year’s Women’s Retreat Day is shaping up to be the best yet! We have moved to Long Point Conference Centre, 20-26 Wills Rd, Long Point, NSW 2564 (an easy 20 minute drive from Church). Our theme is ‘Friendship’ and Caitlin Orr will help us explore what the Bible has to say about what good friendship looks like.

Our new venue gives us the OPTION of gathering on the Friday night and staying at the venue together before the Saturday Retreat. If this doesn’t work for you in this season of your life, then simply join us for the Saturday as usual.

DAY ONLY $60: This ticket is for the Saturday only. It includes morning and afternoon tea, lunch, and essential Retreat Day goodies.

OVERNIGHT AND DAY $110: This ticket includes supper and accommodation on Friday night, breakfast on Saturday morning, as well as all that is included in the Day Only ticket.

Men’s Breakfast

Saturday, 5th of May 2018 at the St Peter’s Church Hall. 8am til 10am and $10 for a good breakfast for the body and soul. All men from St Andrew’s and St Peter’s congregations encouraged to attend.

Make your booking now and choose to either pay online via Paypal or pay at the door on the day. We’ll have coffee and tea ready when you arrive!

(Bookings are now closed for this event. You are welcome to join us but our food has been purchased. There’s probably enough to share.)

POP UP KIDS CLUB!

Come along for an afternoon of giant inflatables, games, construction and  more… There will be coffee for adults and a sausage sizzle before you head home. Cost $5 per child including dinner.

Senior’s Retreat

It is on again! Our bi-annual Seniors’ Retreat will be taking in the sights and sounds of Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains in 2018.

From Sunday November 25 to Friday November 30 we will be heading to stay at Lake Jindabyne Hotel and from there your accommodation, meals and day tours are all covered.

We will be visiting a variety of locations and attractions throughout the week that are all detailed belbow – though subject to change!

We have created a waiting list for those who are interested but cannot commit at the moment. Please register below by ‘purchasing’ a ‘Waiting List’ ticket. There is no charge for this.

Our trips to Bright and Merimbula have been brilliant and this one is shaping to be equally good – if not better. We, with Leanne, have loved these special times with our church members!

Itinerary (subject to change)

Day One: Travel to Jindabyne with a lunch stop in Canberra. Enjoy a three-course meal at dinner and relax in the evening in preparation for a great time away!

Day Two: We head for the mountains with stops at Thredbo for a chairlift ride to the top of Crackenback, Bullocks Flat and Charlotte’s Pass where you can see Mt Kosciuszko.

Day Three: A visit to the Snowy-Hydro System will begin the day as we take in Adaminiby and Eucumbene Dam.

Day Four: We will take in some of the local attractions such as the Gaden Trout Hatchery and Wildbrumby Distillery before an afternoon to rest or explore Jindabyne at your own pace.

Day Five: A day for the history buffs as we step back to 1890 in Dalgety, Bombala, Burnima Homestead, Nimmitabel and Cooma Gaol.

Day Six: All good things must come to an end as we depart Jindabyne and wind our way back to Campbelltown.

As the year starts, we are inviting you to kick start your year serving Jesus with some input and training to spur you on. As a growing Christian community, we need to keep working at developing the gifts we have, further devoting ourselves to maturing in Jesus and promoting the Glory of God. This is what Summer Ministry Training Week is all about.

Feel free to come to one workshop; feel free to come to them all! The program is plentiful and diverse and gives you the opportunity to pick and choose the areas you need help and encouragement in or the ways in which you can help and serve others.

How to Unlock the Old Testament – Nigel Fortescue

DINNER WITH THEOLOGY SESSIONS
Each night we have the opportunity to share dinner together while being theologically stretched. The dinner sessions provide an opportunity for conversation around tables, a stretching talk and time for questions. Registration will be out soon and you can pay your $10 and we will do the rest.
GROWTH GROUP LAUNCH NIGHT
A night for all the members of our church – those in a Growth Group, those curious about joining one and those not yet in one but keen to stay in touch with a group so they can be connected with our Christian Community. Hear about plans for the year and be encouraged to make your Group great.

Our next Women’s Event will be a Christmas Extravaganza not to be missed! Please join us on Saturday 18th November from 1pm in the St Peter’s Church Hall for a Christmas themed afternoon tea and some fantastic craft. Melissa Moss will help us reflect on this somewhat crazy, but wonderful season of the year.

Begin Well

Begin well

Looking for a place to get connected with the church? Wondering how you can learn about what church is and who it is for? Begin Well is our open-house night held several times a year and you are welcome to come.

The next evening is coming up on the 30th of July, 2014. Starting at 7:30pm in the church hall (that’s the hall across the church lawn from the church building) on Cordeaux St Campbelltown. There is no cost but letting us know that you intend to come would be great.

There will be light snacks served along with nice coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The evening will be concluded by 9pm and children are welcome to attend.

Over two days, children in Kindergarten to Year 6 will take part in games, craft, singing and lessons from the Bible. It will be a lot of fun and everyone is welcome.

On that very first Christmas all those years ago, the shepherds and wise men went to visit Jesus – their King and Saviour. This December come along to Campbelltown Anglican Church’s Christmas Kids Club and see Jesus for yourself! You will be filled with 100% joy when you discover that Jesus was born to be your King and Saviour too!
