Campbelltown Anglican Church is committed to ensuring every person is safe when they join our church and ministry activities. We have a zero tolerance policy for misconduct and abuse.

The Anglican Church, Diocese of Sydney, has rules and protocols that our staff and volunteers must follow and adhere to in order to be able to participate in ministry. This begins with the requirement that everyone involved in ministry to young people must have a cleared Working With Children Check and have completed Safe Ministry Training. Following this, every three years, everyone involved in ministry to young and vulnerable people must complete further training.

Parish Council has also appointed a Safe Ministry Representative to keep staff accountable for conducting ministry safely

If you have any concerns about the way ministry is done or have a fear that the wrong thing is happening, please speak to our Senior Minister,  Nigel Fortescue as soon as possible. If your concern is about our Senior Minister or is serious in nature, you can call 1800 774945.

The Anglican Church, Diocese of Sydney, has developed various resources to help churches, volunteers, staff and church members understand what is expected from those involved in ministry. Below are a collection of these resources. Others can be found at safeministry.org.au.
