Weddings

Marriage is a wonderful gift from God for a man and a woman. Not only is it good for us, it is also a wonderful picture of how God wants to relate with us. He is always committed to doing what is best for us and to loving us. God’s love is demonstrated to us in that while we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us. This is a wonderful truth and a profound example of what it means to love. He wants us to be similarly committed to him and for our marriages to model this commitment and love.

To all who are preparing for marriage, we pray that the days and weeks spent leading up to your wedding would be relaxed and enjoyable.

Why choose St Peter’s?

St Peter’s was built in 1823 and is the third oldest Church in Australia. It is a beautiful and photogenic church that is well lit and easy to find. The church can seat up to 250 people and is located in Mawson Park on Cordeaux Street, Campbelltown. Please come to one of our weekly services and check out the church.

What will this cost?

Weddings at St Peter’s Church cost $1500*. This includes the cost of the church, meeting with the minister to prepare your service, wedding rehearsal, and the wedding itself. A $150 non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date.

Music

We are able to play music in the church from most modern devices, though some people prefer the traditional sound of a live church organ. Our organist is available to play by arrangement at a fee of $205*.

Decorations

We have a select range of pew decorations available at no extra charge. These may change from time to time as they become worn or outdated so please feel free to come in and look at our current range at the time of your booking.

What to do now!

We currently schedule one wedding each Saturday and dates book up well ahead. If you haven’t already done so, book in a date with our office (02 4625 1041) and pay a deposit to secure your date. Our wedding planner booklet will then be sent to you in the mail or via email. If either party has been married before, it is important that you make that known when you make a booking as approval must be sought for your marriage.

Once you have booked a date, one of our staff will contact you to begin planning and engage in pre-marriage preparation. At your first meeting you will fill in the Notice of Intended Marriage Form and read through our wedding planner booklet. You will need to bring your original birth certificate to this meeting and it must be held at least one month before your proposed wedding day. Dates for any further meetings and a rehearsal will also be set then.

We are very excited to be helping you into this new stage of life. Please be in contact with our office staff if you have any other questions.
